WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE MARINE CORPS LEAGUE AND HELP U.S. VETERANS AND

THEIR FAMILIES

Our detachment is named after Lance  Corporal Jacob Ross of Gillette, WY, son of Karen Green and Dennis Ross, who had served as a Marine. Jacob, who played soccer and was on the swim team, graduated from Campbell County High School. He was known as quiet, polite, intelligent, hard working and kind-hearted. His friends also remember him as being fearless. LCpl Ross was assigned to 2d Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, NC. He died March 24, 2010 in Helmand Province in Afghanistan, during a firefight, just two months before his deployment was to end. He was just nineteen years old.

We are proud to honor Jacob Ross' sacrifice by naming our Detachment after him.
